Furniture Shopping at Tree

We have our first round of furniture shopping today. Always fun spending money. This round was for items we must have as soon as we move in including sofa and bed. I have plenty of other things I want and need but those can wait till everything else is in place. I didn't want to rush it.

We went to Tree in Ap Lei Chau. If you live in Hong Kong you should already know all about Tree.  This eco-friendly furniture shop was founded by an Australian lawyer-turn-entrepreneur Nicole Wakley in 2005. Like many Australian design, Tree is was well known for its raw and natural appearence. The majority of its products are made from reclaimed or recycled wood.

By the way, in case you don't already know, most of the furniture shops give a 10-15% designer discount if you bring him along. Some might need business card or business registry proof.

I could easily stocked up my entire flat with Tree furniture and decor items but I am determined to be diversified this time. These are what we bought:

A three-seater L shape couch in light grey. Quite similar to this one.

The round coffee table such as the one below in a larger size.

6 of the below Eames replica plus a simple 4 legged wood table.
